The 2022 Newton-Wellesley Hospital Golf Tournament will benefit our annual youth summer internships, a signature program of the Workforce Development Council.

In collaboration with the Waltham Partnership for Youth, the summer program offers an opportunity at NWH for paid employment plus an eye-opening introduction to diverse medical careers for 20 Waltham students. From a community benefits perspective, it’s a “win-win-win”—providing work-based learning for underserved teens, developing the workforce for employers, and strengthening our local economy. Interns learn firsthand from passionate NWH caregivers about the paths that led them to roles ranging from nurse to surgical technologist to physician. Week by week, dozens of careers begin to seem within reach. By joining this year’s Golf Tournament, you’ll help this vital program continue to build confidence and community. Thank you!
